As a Technician (Fire & Safety) at Fakir Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of one of Bangladesh’s leading readymade garments manufacturers. You will be responsible for ensuring that all fire detection and protection systems are fully operational and compliant with national and international safety standards. Working at our Kayempur facility in Fatullah, Narayanganj, you will help protect both personnel and assets by preventing and mitigating fire-related risks through expert maintenance and timely interventions.

Job Description :

  • Perform thorough testing of fire detection and protection equipment following NFPA standards.
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire detection systems, fire door systems, and all types of detectors and call points.
  • Ensure proper functioning and regular maintenance of fire alarm control panels, including brands such as KENTEC, BOSCH, Advance, and GST.
  • Conduct routine checks to guarantee operational readiness of fire safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with safety and facility teams to uphold a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and promptly resolve any faults or issues related to fire safety systems.

Additional Requirements :

  • Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations, especially NFPA guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with various fire alarm systems and detection devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physically fit to perform inspections, maintenance, and installations on-site.
  • Willingness to work in shifts if required and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Valid driving license (preferred) for site mobility, if applicable
