  • Vacancy : 02
  • Last Date : 15-Jul-2026

Jobs Context

Fakir Knitwears Ltd., one of Bangladesh's leading knitwear and garment manufacturing companies, is seeking experienced and dynamic professionals for the position of Manager – Finishing at its Narayanganj facility. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the entire Finishing section covering both Knit and Woven products — ensuring on-time, quality-compliant finishing operations including ironing, folding, tagging, poly packing, and carton packing as per buyer specifications. This is a key operational leadership role requiring hands-on expertise in finishing processes for both knit and woven garments within a fast-paced export-oriented manufacturing environment.

Job Description :

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all day-to-day Finishing operations for both Knit and Woven products — including ironing/pressing, folding, tagging, poly packing, and carton packing.
  • Ensure finishing processes are carried out strictly as per buyer specifications, approved samples, and packing instructions for each style/order.
  • Coordinate with Sewing, Quality (QA/QC), and Warehouse departments to ensure smooth product flow from sewing completion to final shipment-ready packing.
  • Monitor and control finishing line efficiency, output targets, and manpower allocation to meet daily and order-wise production/shipment targets.
  • Ensure proper AQL-based final inspection coordination with QC/QA before goods are packed and dispatched, minimizing rejection and re-work.
  • Manage thread trimming, spot removal, ironing temperature control, and folding standards specific to knit and woven fabric types to avoid damage or shrinkage.
  • Plan and monitor manpower, machinery (iron, vacuum table, conveyor, etc.), and consumables (poly, tags, cartons) required for the finishing section.
  • Ensure compliance with buyer packing guidelines — including carton marking, barcode/label placement, ratio packing, and assortment requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Planning and Merchandising teams regarding shipment schedules and prioritize finishing activities accordingly.
  • Maintain finishing section records — daily production reports, rejection/rework reports, and consumption reports for poly, tags, and cartons.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the finishing process to prevent shipment delays; escalate critical issues to senior management proactively.
  • Ensure the finishing floor maintains proper 5S, cleanliness, and safety standards as per company and buyer compliance requirements.
  • Conduct training and skill development for finishing supervisors, line staff, and helpers to improve productivity and quality standards.
  • Support internal and external (buyer/compliance) audits related to the finishing section, ensuring all documentation is in order.
  • Analyze finishing section costs (consumables, manpower, rework) and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and present finishing performance reports (efficiency, rejection rate, on-time completion) to senior management on a regular basis.

Additional Requirements :

  • Expert-level knowledge of finishing processes for both knit and woven garments — ironing, folding, tagging, poly and carton packing.
  • Strong understanding of buyer packing requirements, AQL standards, and shipment documentation related to finishing.
  • Good knowledge of finishing machinery, consumable management, and line efficiency monitoring.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills under production pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel/Word) for daily reporting; ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Good communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
